Petriti Harbour (Corfu)
39° 27.2′ N · 20° 0.2′ E
Corfu's largest fishing port and one of its least spoiled villages: a breakwater harbour on the south-east coast lined with seafood tavernas, with a sheltered sandy bay for anchoring — a natural last night before returning to Gouvia.
Practical
Coordinate is the harbour breakwater (Noonsite 39°27.18'N 20°00.19'E). Anchoring in the bay: about 2–4 m, sand, mud and weed with good holding (mySea, 39.4517, 20.00297); sheltered from westerlies (Noonsite comment, 2019). Inside the mole: stern-to at the breakwater in up to 3 m — very shallow at its northern part, where locals berth; town quay up to 2 m, shared with commercial boats; space is reserved for large fishing boats that unload in the morning, and fishermen move in and out all night causing swell (Noonsite, mySea). Mole berths reported about 35 EUR for a 44 ft monohull in 2019, pre-bookable online (Noonsite — verify locally). Open to the south-east: over Force 5 from the SE leave for Benitses (SailingIssues). Ashore: 5+ seafood tavernas (Wikipedia); land the dinghy toward Taverna Mythos (SailingIssues); Leonardis taverna by the end of the mole offered free showers and laundry to diners (Noonsite, 2015 — verify locally). The bakery may only open in the afternoon (Noonsite, 2019).
