Lefkimmi Canal & River Harbour
39° 26.1′ N · 20° 5.3′ E
The Bouka (Potami) river runs through the middle of Lefkimmi, the main town of southern Corfu and one of its least touristy, and out to the sea at Skala Potamou, where small local boats moor along the canal under the town's cafés. It is not a yacht marina.
Practical
Coordinate is the river mouth at Skala Potamou (mySea; about 2 m). SailingIssues: the river mouth looks like the logical way into town but is too shallow for yachts — use the Lefkimmi ferry port to the south and walk or taxi the 2 km in. Small craft and dinghies only; check depth at the bar, which silts. Agkali café-restaurant faces the canal (SailingIssues). Lefkimmi has supermarkets, shops and a bus to Corfu Town (Greeka). The tiny Alykes harbour to the north-west (mySea, 1.5–2 m) is also for small craft only.
Best for
Dinghy or small-boat visit to a traditional river town
