Palamidas Beach & Boatyard (Hydra)

37° 19.8′ N · 23° 25.9′ E · approximate

A sandy cove reached by a 20-minute walk from Vlychos over a 17th-century stone bridge, overlooked by the Voulgaris manor and the house where the Kapudan Pasha once lived, with Hydra's small boat-repair yard nearby.

Practical

Coordinate approx: the OSM 'Palamidas' hamlet node; Palamida islet lies just offshore. The municipal beach guide notes a place to repair boats close to Palamidas beach — ask locally for haul-out or small repairs, Hydra's only yard on the island (larger work goes to Spetses or Piraeus). No anchorage pilotage found for the cove itself; Molos, a better-documented anchorage, is the next bay west.

Best for

Coastal walk from Vlychos and a local boat-repair contact
