Anchorage· Porto Heli (mainland)· Greece — Ionian, Saronic & Argolic
Korakonisia (Korakas) Islets
37° 21.6′ N · 23° 4.0′ E
An anchorage behind the Korakonisia islets on the Argolic coast midway between Koilada and Porto Heli, near a double pebble beach in the Korakia pine forest.
Practical
Sailingissues anchorage marker. The area is not well charted — mind the various reefs and rocks and approach in good light. The Korakia beach ashore is a double beach of large pebbles in pine forest (dirt-road access); the marina's guide mentions walking out to the islet and a Byzantine-era wreck nearby. Recommended as a lunch stop on Argolic itineraries.
Best for
Wild lunch stop on the Argolic side
