Kanali / Monolithi Beach
39° 4.2′ N · 20° 41.8′ E · approximate
A 22 km sweep of open sand along the Ionian coast north of Preveza, from Cape Komaros at Mytikas to Kastrosykia, backed for much of its length by the protected Monolithi pine forest.
Practical
Coordinate is approx: it uses the OSM node for Kanali village, which lies just inland of the beach; no verified beach coordinate was found. Wikipedia: the beach is named for a 10 m rock ('single stone') destroyed by German and Italian mortar fire in 1942. It now survives as a reef about 10 cm below the surface, so take care if landing a dinghy. This is an exposed, harbourless lee shore in the afternoon NW breeze: a beach visit by road, not by boat, except in a flat calm.
