Imerolia Bay

39° 47.3′ N · 19° 55.1′ E

The bay just west of Kassiopi is the village's anchorage — swing in the east cove with the castle headland beside you and dinghy round to the harbour.

Practical

Coordinate from mySea (east cove, about 4 m, sand, mud and weed, moderate holding — dig in carefully). Open to the north-west; SailingIssues quotes it as safe up to about Force 5. A quay on the west side has about 5 m alongside but fishing boats will ask you to move (mySea). SailingIssues reports plans for a marina here (first 60 berths, eventually 300+), so check for works.

Best for

Anchoring for Kassiopi when the harbour is full

Season

Settled weather; untenable in strong NW
