Gali–Spathi Anchorage (Tselevinia)

37° 26.1′ N · 23° 31.2′ E

A snug, little-known anchorage behind Gali islet off Cape Skyli, the easternmost tip of the Peloponnese — a chapel ashore, clear water and no ferry wash.

Practical

Coordinate is sailingissues' charted anchorage pin. Described as all-round shelter with good holding and no wash from commercial shipping; nothing ashore except the Panagia chapel. The channel between the Peloponnese and Spathi is less than 1 m deep — do not try to cut through it; enter from the open side and approach slowly by eye. Ruins of a Venetian fort lie on the cape (OSM 'Castle of Tselevinia'). A popular lunch stop on the Hydra–Poros leg (sailingissues itineraries).

Best for

Lunch stop or quiet night between Hydra and Poros
