Beach· Lefkada· Greece — Ionian, Saronic & Argolic

Egremni Beach

38° 38.3′ N · 20° 33.5′ E

A long, remote beach of white sand and pebbles beneath sheer white cliffs on Lefkada's south-west coast, reshaped by the 2015 earthquake.

Practical

The November 17, 2015 earthquake buried much of the beach and its access in rubble (Wikipedia); Greeka reports a rebuilt staircase from the road and a water taxi from Vasiliki (about 90 minutes). Only an umbrella rental and a bar near the entrance. From a yacht, it is a calm-weather lookout or anchor-and-swim stop on the open west coast; leave before the afternoon NW sets in.

Best for

Wild west-coast scenery in settled weather

Season

Calm settled days only
