Agios Nikolaos Islet Anchorages
37° 54.4′ N · 20° 42.6′ E
Two anchorages tucked under the small Agios Nikolaos islet at the harbour entrance, good in NW to NE winds, with swimming off the islet.
Practical
SailingIssues positions: west anchorage 37.90600, 20.71051 and south anchorage 37.90506, 20.71250. Suitable in NW–NE winds. The bottom rises steeply: use plenty of chain. Mind the partly artificial reef north of the islet, marked by a red buoy. Expect valley gusts in the late afternoon in a NW. The beaches of Madrakia (37.9046, 20.7088) and Agios Nikolaos are a short dinghy ride.
Best for
Anchoring off when the harbour quay is full
