Skala Loutron Quay (Gulf of Gera)

39° 2.7′ N · 26° 31.9′ E

A village quay and anchorage on the east shore of the Gulf of Gera with free water and power, home to the 1922 Refugee Memorial Museum.

Practical

Grecosailor crews report excellent protection from northerlies (gusts more noticeable on the north side), no swell, and free water and electricity at a quayside terminal (one 16A and one 32A outlet — carry a 32/16 adapter; undated report, verify locally). The 1922 Refugee Memorial Museum in the old school holds about 500 heirlooms of Asia Minor refugees (tel +30 22510 91277). Alternative Sailing also uses Skala Loutra as an embarkation point.
