Agios Ermogenis Bay (Lesvos)
39° 1.0′ N · 26° 32.6′ E
A small pine-and-olive-fringed cove with a beachside taverna and an old chapel on the rocks, just 5 nm from Mytilene — the classic first-night stop out of the marina, tucked out of the summer northerlies.
Practical
Grecosailor sailors anchored at the western end in about 12 m just outside the swimming buoys; bottom mostly weed but held well; you can also run a stern line to the rocks on the western side where there is ample depth. Sheltered from the north (yachting.com); open to the south. Taverna on the beach; no quay or facilities. The neighbouring Charamida bay is 0.7 nm east.
Best for
First or last night out of Mytilene, swim stop with a taverna
Season
May–Oct in northerlies; exposed to S winds
