Pythagoras Cave (Sarantaskaliotissa, Samos)

A cave chapel on the steep Kerkis slopes above the Kiourka ravine, reached by forty rock-cut steps - by tradition the cave where Pythagoras hid or taught.
Practical
At about 350 m altitude with a view down to the sea. Entry beyond the railing is forbidden (deep abyss); the chapel celebrates September 8. Shorter alternative to the full Kerkis climb.
