There is a second rural health centre at Mesochori on the west coast, +30 22450 71209 (aegeanislands.gr), whose position we could not verify. The general hospital is at Pigadia (+30 22450 22228). From Diafani, Olympos is reached by road (one morning bus and one taxi, MarinaTips) or by trail. Serious cases go to Rhodes or Crete. In an emergency at sea, call the Hellenic Coast Guard on VHF 16 or 108.
