Molos Fishing Harbour (Skyros)

38° 54.9′ N · 24° 34.5′ E

A tiny fishing harbour at Molos, the beach village below Chora on the north-east coast, where fishermen still prepare their catch by hand.

Practical

mySea gives only 1–3 m — dinghy and shallow-draught boats only. The anchorage off it reported by Grecosailor (shown at this position) is sand, about 5 m, 10 m from the shoreline, and rolls in north winds. Molos has the island's biggest supermarkets, a bakery and tavernas a short walk away. The long Molos–Magazia beach runs south.

Best for

Dinghy landing for Molos/Magazia supplies
