A WWII museum in a restored tunnel dug by the Italians at Merikia, about 2 km from Lakki. It tells the story of the 1943 Battle of Leros with weapons, maps, uniforms and relics from both sides.
Practical
Walk or cycle west along the south shore of Lakki Bay. Hours are seasonal, so check before going. Leros' coastal guns inspired 'The Guns of Navarone' (leros.gr).
