Keros Beach (Lemnos)

39° 54.2′ N · 25° 21.3′ E

A long, wild sandy beach on Lemnos' east coast near Kalliopi, wide open to the meltemi — the island's wind-sports beach.

Practical

Coordinate is the Keros beach polygon in OpenStreetMap (a second section lies south at 39.89574, 25.3549). Grecosailor gives a sand anchorage off Paralia Keros at 39.90625, 25.36833 (no sailor reviews). Visit Limnos: the east-coast beaches get the strongest meltemi and host kite and windsurf schools — see 'Keros Beach Kitesurf (Lemnos)'. Not an overnight anchorage in a northerly. Kalliopi village with bakery, tavernas and an EKO fuel station is about 3 km north-west.
