Faliraki Beach

36° 21.0′ N · 28° 12.6′ E

Rhodes' party beach: 5 km of golden sand with water sports, beach bars and a waterpark. Anchor off the north end only for the spectacle.

Practical

Grecosailor: a sheltered cove over sand, depth not stated. Sailing Issues rates Faliraki 'no-go' for yachts. The little harbour has only 1.4–2.3 m and is packed with local boats, with uncharted shoals, rocks and hazards in the approach; mySea says approach only by day from the north on about 225°. Off the beach the sand holding is solid, but you share it with powerboats, loud music and inflatables. Mandomata, Anthony Quinn Bay and Ladiko just south are far nicer.

Best for

Beach bars and water sports, not a quiet night
