Evaggelistria–Emporeios Trail (Nisyros)

A 6.4 km Geopark trail along the north-west and north slopes of the caldera from the 18th-century Evaggelistria monastery to Emporeios.
Practical
Route G2 of the Nisyros UNESCO Global Geopark, 6.43 km, with views to Kato Lakki, the Boriatiko lava dome and Gyali and Strongyli islets. Coordinate is the Emporeios end (OSM Castle of Emporeios), approximate for the trail. Other Geopark routes: Caldera-Lakki (to the craters), Diavatis-Nyphios (past the 698 m Profitis Ilias summit, the island's highest point) and Argos-St Irini (to the Pyria thermal spring).
