The Geopark hiking route from Evaggelistria Monastery ends in Emporeios, with views of the Lakki hydrothermal craters and Gyali and Strongyli islets. Sailing Issues recommends the modestly priced 'Apyria' in the church courtyard, about 6 km uphill from Pali. Wikivoyage: the taverna in Emporeios has a great view of the crater valley.
