Eristos Bay (Tilos)

36° 25.8′ N · 27° 21.0′ E

A wide bay on Tilos's south-west coast backed by a 700 m sandy beach shaded by tamarisks, with views up to Megalo Chorio: Tilos's longest beach.

Practical

Anchor close to the beach in 3-5 m over sand; solid holding. Meltemi gusts come down from the north and set up a swell, so expect some rolling (Sailing Issues). Ashore: 'Restaurant En Plo' two minutes inland and Stelios's reggae-themed beach kantina; a 30-minute walk to Megalo Chorio. The Italians landed here in 1912 (Wikipedia). Popular with campers in season (Wikivoyage).

Best for

Long sandy beach and a swim stop

Season
