36° 45.3′ N · 24° 30.3′ E

The excavated remains of one of the most important Bronze Age towns of the Cyclades, on a low headland next to Papafragas. Part of the old settlement has been eroded by the sea.

Practical

The municipality: 'Filakopi is one of the most important settlements of Cycladic culture.' Greeka notes ruins of walls, buildings and tombs a few metres from Papafragas, some now under water. Wikivoyage lists it on the road to Pollonia. Access arrangements and opening hours were not published in our sources; verify locally.
