Panagia Paraportiani (Mykonos)
37° 26.8′ N · 25° 19.5′ E
Five whitewashed chapels fused into one sculptural lump by the sea at the old Kastro gate, built from the late 14th century through the 17th. It's the most photographed church in the Cyclades.
Practical
Four chapels sit at ground level with the Panagia chapel on top. The oldest, Agios Anargyros, dates to the late 14th century. Only one ground-floor chapel is usually open, from early morning to sunset (Wikivoyage). Dress modestly to go inside. It's a 2-minute walk from Little Venice and beside the Folklore Museum (Mon-Sat 4:30pm-8:30pm per Wikivoyage; verify).
