Lavrio Town Port Yacht Quay & Visitor Pontoon

37° 42.6′ N · 24° 3.7′ E

The yacht section of Lavrio's busy commercial, ferry and fishing harbour, packed with charter fleets along the inner town quay. Tavernas, bakeries and supermarkets are a short walk away.

Practical

Run by the Lavrio Port Authority S.A. (OLL), Akti Andrea Papandreou: phone +30 22920 22089, email info@oll.gr. OLL quotes capacity for 200 recreational boats, planned to rise to 400 with floating pontoons. A contract for floating breakwaters and piers was signed with Marinetek in May 2026, so expect works and a changing layout. Depths are about 1.5–7 m (mySea), or 4–7 m along the yacht quay (Barbaros). Berth stern-to on laid moorings (lazy lines), with water and electricity at the berths. If anchoring, the bottom is mud with good holding. Charter companies hold many berths. mySea says visitors use the NW corner of the mole and the S side of the charter jetty, and that fees were not usually charged (older report; verify locally). The northern breakwater shelters from the meltemi, but strong southerlies and easterlies send swell inside, so use heavy snubbers. There is no fuel station: fuel comes by tanker truck to the quay. The port has no public showers or WCs; charter companies run container washrooms that are overwhelmed at weekends. Expect very loud late-night music from waterfront bars, and wash from ferries. Friday afternoons are crowded with returning charter fleets, so arrive early. Position is the OSM harbour polygon.

Best for

Cheap, central berth for a crew change or provisioning run

Season

Year-round; crowded Fri–Sat in charter season
