Korfos Kiteboarding Championship Closure (June)

Korfos Bay, the kite and windsurf bay between Chora and Ornos, hosts the Open Panhellenic Inter-Club Kiteboarding race. For that week the Port Authority closes the inner bay to all boats.

Mykonos Port Authority decision 2131.19/608/2026 (10 June 2026): no boat movement, anchoring or other activity inside the Korfos box from 15 to 21 June 2026, 9am to 7pm daily. Corners: 37.431120N 25.319821E; 37.431232N 25.323027E; 37.427973N 25.319855E; 37.428145N 25.322994E. Breaches are penalised under art. 157 of Decree 187/1973. Dates change yearly, so check the Port Fund 'Decisions' page in June. Korfos is not a swimming or anchoring bay in any case (Wikivoyage: suited to windsurfing, not swimming). Position is the centre of the closure box.
