Danakos to Halki Trail (Trail 3, Halki–Filoti hills)
37° 3.1′ N · 25° 31.2′ E
Trail 3 crosses the hills between the Filoti/Mount Zas massif and the Tragea basin, from the hamlet of Danakos past the fortified Fotodotis monastery and Byzantine chapels down to Halki.
Practical
OSM route relation: Trail 3, Danakos - Fotodotis Monastery - Karkos - Agios Ioannis Finelia - Kerami - Metochi - Tragaia (Halki); 6.5 km, about 395 m up and 275 m down; waymarked 3. Greeka's Danakos to Halki route follows a stream for part of the way. Trail 2A links Danakos to Agia Marina on the Filoti side of Mount Zas, so you can build a Filoti to Halki day with a taxi to Danakos or Filoti and the bus back from Halki. Combine with Mount Zas Hike (Naxos). No single numbered Filoti-Halki trail appears in the regional list. Start position: first trail node at Danakos (OSM).
