Armeni Harbour (Oia)

36° 27.6′ N · 25° 22.9′ E

A short L-shaped pier at the base of the cliff east of Oia, used by caïques and tour boats, with a stepped path up to the village.

Practical

Sailingissues: usually full of caïques; one large rusty mooring buoy, sometimes two. Going alongside is not advised, because ferry and cruise-ship wash can throw a yacht onto the concrete. Further east, Armenis/Mouzaki bay has a 20 x 5 m pier with no path up; it is for emergency use only but very safe in strong northerlies. Under the 2026 decision (to March 31, 2027), Armeni can be reached by sea and by the existing footpath.
