Apollonas Fishermen's Festival (Naxos)

On 28 June each year Apollonas holds vespers at Agios Ioannis, a priest blesses the boats and the water, and then the village throws a party with traditional music and fresh fish.
Practical
The date is 28 June (Greeka). The Apollonas harbour has few free berths and is only safe in settled weather, so many visitors come by road from Chora (36 km). The position is the OSM village point.
