Apokrousi Beach (Kythnos)

37° 24.8′ N · 24° 23.8′ E

One of the largest beaches on Kythnos and the closest to Chora: a pebbly shore ringed by trees at the head of a sheltered north-west bay.

Practical

Greeka lists it as pebbled and non-organized, surrounded by trees. Kythnos.gr says anchor in about 4 m on mostly weedy ground and dive to check the anchor; the bay is good for sunset. Coconuts beach bar and Nikitas taverna are ashore (OSM). Position from OpenStreetMap.

Best for

Sunset swim from the Apokrousi anchorage
