Vallée aux Rougets & Droite de Taapuna (Taapuna Pass)

Outer-reef dives at the mouth of Taapuna Pass, Marina Taina's own pass: a valley of coral heads sheltering brick soldierfish, with lemon and blacktip sharks patrolling the reef.
Practical
Coordinates are Eleuthera's 'Vallée aux Rougets'; its 'Droite de Taapuna' site (-17.60012, -149.62368) is on the reef edge at the Taapuna surf break (the 'right'). Morays are common (Eleuthera). Only a few minutes by boat from Marina Taina. The pass breaks heavily on both sides in swell and is busy with surfers: dive with an operator and do not anchor in the pass.
