The fuel dock at the entrance of Marina Taina, the most convenient place on Tahiti to fill diesel tanks and jerry cans before heading to the Leewards.

GPS from Tahiti Cruisers Guide. Hours 6:30am–12pm and 1pm–4pm (guide; verify). Duty-free diesel has been sold here to boats holding a customs certificate, but not at weekends except reluctantly in an emergency (guide update 3-2023; Noonsite cruiser report Dec 2022); petrol is not duty-free. Reports differ on whether duty-free diesel is sold in jerry cans or only with the boat on the dock. A noforeignland note says a fuel discount program ended in June 2026, so ask before you plan around duty-free prices. Approach is inside the lagoon; call the marina on VHF 9.
