Domaine Pari Pari Rum Distillery
16° 36.8′ S · 151° 32.5′ W
Taha'a's grow-it-and-distil-it agricultural rum estate at the north end of Tapuamu Bay. A blend of six endemic sugarcane varieties from a 50-acre plantation becomes white, amber and dark rhum agricole, with tastings and a rum-and-tapas bar.
Practical
Position from the OpenStreetMap node ('Distillerie de Rhum et Huilerie de coco et tamanu'). The distillery has its own dock; the 2025 brief suggests visiting the rum and tapas bar 'in an outrigger canoe'. Tahiti Tourisme says you can follow the whole process from cane pressing to distillation, and that the rums have won several awards. It is a short walk from the Mana'o tasting room in Tapuamu. Anchor in ZMR de Tapuamu (6 boats, 48 h).
