Rouru Convent Ruins (Rikitea)
23° 7.9′ S · 134° 58.1′ W · approximate
The roofless coral-stone ruins of the Rouru convent, near the southern end of the Rikitea cemetery, which once housed about 60 nuns during Father Laval's missionary building era.
Practical
approx: the coordinate is from the French historic-monuments list (23 deg 07'52"S 134 deg 58'08"W). That list puts the cathedral about 0.9 km south of its Wikipedia position, so allow up to about 1 km of error. Classified as a historic monument in December 2002. From the main dock go left past St Michael and take the road uphill. Sugar Shack's route to the Mt Duff/Mokoto trail passes the cemetery and then the convent.
