Rose Corser Museum (Taiohae)

8° 55.0′ S · 140° 6.5′ W

A small private collection of Marquesan artefacts assembled by Rose Corser, the American who founded the original hotel on the west side of the bay.

Practical

Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap 'Musee de Rose Corser' node beside Pension He'e Tai Inn on the west side of the bay. The official brief (2023) calls it the Enana Museum, founded by American Rose Corser, with sculpture and crafts from across the archipelago; open 7:30am-11:30am Mon-Fri, with a museum guide booklet for sale. Noonsite (May 2026): can be visited some mornings at 10am, with advance notice if possible. A 2020 crew found it closed each time they passed. Rose Corser also sold a Nuku Hiva guidebook at her shop (2017).
