approx: placed in Rikitea village from the compendium's walking directions relative to the main dock and St Michael Cathedral (Wikipedia position); expect an error of up to about 300 m. Vini SIMs and top-ups are sold at the post office (bring ID; stock sells out, and data seems to vanish on bad connections). Google Fi roamed wherever Vini worked (2021). The Mangareva tower is overloaded; the Aukena tower often gives better results from the outer anchorages and motus. Service is best late at night or early morning. Onemea Bay on Taravai has no signal at all. JoJo shares wifi with paying customers only. Titouan and Juliette offered wifi (Jan 2023).
