Nake Copra Beach (Hao South)
18° 25.0′ S · 140° 40.7′ W · approximate
The beach at Nake, the copra-farming corner at the far south of the lagoon. Locals call the area the 'gem of Hao', and the few copra farmers here are welcoming.
Practical
Sugar Shack (June 2020) found the farmers lovely but the water cloudy and the mud along the beach foul-smelling; Noonsite (2025) still rates Nake, by the pearl farm (about 18°24'S / 140°40'W), as a good anchorage. Land on the beach from the Nake anchorage, wear reef shoes, and ask before walking through copra plots. There are no services. Position approximate: on the shore just SE of the Nake anchoring waypoints (18°24.9057S / 140°40.6987W).
Best for
A remote copra-farm landing
