Ahe Mairie Annexe Reporting Point (Tenukupara)

14° 32.3′ S · 146° 21.3′ W

The delegate-mayor's office in Tenukupara, about 100 m up from the quay: Ahe has no gendarmerie, so this is the place to introduce yourself and ask where you may anchor among the pearl concessions.

Practical

Position is the OpenStreetMap town-hall building in Tenukupara. Ahe is an associated commune of Manihi (delegate mayor Roland Reid, elected July 2020, per the 2024 atoll sheet) and is NOT a port of entry: clear into French Polynesia elsewhere first. No source documents a gendarmerie post on Ahe; patrols come from the Brigade Territoriale des Tuamotu in Papeete (Avenue Bruat), which covers atolls with no permanent gendarme presence (Outremers 360, Dec 2025). Keep passports, boat papers and your clearance reference handy. Practical help nearby: the post office (OPT, open 7:30-11:30 am Mon-Fri, card terminal for cash withdrawal, 2024 sheet), the infirmary, and a prepaid drinking-water point at the school at 6 XPF per litre. There is no garbage drop for yachts; recycling only at the jetty (Elvira, Oct 2023). Opening hours of the mairie are not published.
