St. Ann's Bay Anchorage (Lee Reef)
18° 26.8′ N · 77° 11.9′ W
A Victorian market town where Marcus Garvey was born, with a choice of anchorages off the town or behind Lee Reef by Reader's Point.
Practical
Position is Virgintino's waypoint at the outer flashing markers (18 26.80N, 077 11.90W). From the east leave Drax Hall Point to port; from the west give Lee Reef a good berth. From the markers steer 193 M, staying between the shoals. Anchor off the town (convenient, exposed) or behind Lee Reef off Reader's Point in 8-20 ft (better protected). Wide open to the north: in a norther at night you would struggle to get out. Open-air market Friday and Saturday on Main Street.
Best for
Quiet town anchorage between Ocho Rios and Discovery Bay
