The large, American-style Rey supermarket at Sabanitas, on the Transisthmian highway where the Portobelo road begins, is the big-shop destination for boats at Portobelo and Linton Bay.

Reached by the Portobelo–Colón bus (Wikivoyage: buses every half hour from about 4:30 am to 6 pm, about 1 hour) or by taxi; taxis queue outside for the return with groceries (about $20 to Portobelo in 2016, verify locally). Wikivoyage notes the Portobelo bus stops at the front entrance and the Panama City express leaves from across the highway. Noonsite mentions free van transport from Rey for large purchases on the Río Chagres/Colón side (older report). Lock the dinghy before leaving the boat for the day.
