Colón's two big provisioning centres: the Cuatro Altos shopping centre with a Rey supermarket, hardware and electronics stores, and the Colón 2000 centre with a Super 99, both well stocked and modern.

Coordinate: Plaza Cuatro Altos in OpenStreetMap (way 30686628); OpenStreetMap places a Super 99 on Calle 11 in central Colón at 9.3577, -79.8922. Noonsite: Rey in Cuatro Altos and Super 99 in the 2000 (Dos Mil) shopping centre; both will probably deliver to Shelter Bay free; Mega Depot on the highway toward Sabanitas is a cash-and-carry with no membership; the Central Mercado downtown has very fresh vegetables and meat (keep your taxi driver with you); the Colón Free Zone can be good for bulk duty-free buys. Shelter Bay runs a free bus for docked boats, and the supermarket has offered a free bus back for spends over $300. A Río Chagres cruiser paid about $15 for four people and bags by taxi from Cuatro Altos to the dam (older price). Colón is unsafe: muggings are common, so use taxis door to door.
