Princess Alexandra National Park reef (Grace Bay)

21° 48.4′ N · 72° 10.7′ W

A 9,494-acre marine park (1992) covering Grace Bay, the Bight, Leeward Beach and a long stretch of the northern barrier reef and wall — where most of Provo's dive and snorkel boats go.

Practical

Includes the Bight Reef, Smith's Reef, Leeward Reef and the Princess Alexandra Nature Reserve cays (Little Water, Mangrove and Donna Cays), which carry stricter nature-reserve protection. National-park rules: no fishing or taking anything, no jet skis, anchor only on sand. Boat-only dive sites lie along the north wall; local dive shops run daily trips.

Best for

Reef snorkeling and wall diving off Provo's north shore
