Juba Sound & Juba Point Creek (Providenciales)
21° 46.9′ N · 72° 11.5′ W
A shallow inland sound of salt marsh and mangrove wetland in central Provo, draining to the bank through one narrow tidal inlet, Juba Point Creek, at the tip of Turtle Tail beside South Bank Marina.
Practical
Not an anchorage: Visit TCI says most of the sound is too shallow even for kayaks or paddleboards. Marinas.com notes the left-hand opening at Juba Point is officially Juba Point Creek but is unnavigable; the dredged cut to the right leads to South Bank Marina (see the Juba Point Creek passage). The narrow inlet can run a strong tidal current. The nearest cruising anchorages are Sapodilla Bay and Cooper Jack Bay (Noonsite, 2024).
Best for
Birding by dinghy from South Bank Marina; understanding the Juba Point entrance
