Lime Cay (Port Royal Cays)
17° 55.1′ N · 76° 49.2′ W
A 2-hectare sand-and-scrub cay off Port Royal with a small beach and a gazebo, where Kingston comes to party on summer and holiday weekends.
Practical
Position is Virgintino's Lime Cay anchorage (17 55.05N, 076 49.22W); Wikipedia gives the cay itself as 17 55 06N, 076 49 12W. About 2 miles inside the harbour approaches and the easiest of the Port Royal Cays (Maiden Cay, Eric's Hole, Drunkenman Cay, Rackham's Cay) for a cruising boat. A safe tuck-in if you lose the light or meet headwinds on the way up to Port Royal. No infrastructure except the gazebo. The government closed Lime and Maiden Cays in December 2020 during COVID-19.
