Practical

Position from a February 2025 Noonsite report (17 56.8N, 076 46.6W). Call on VHF 16; club tel 876-924-8685 (website). The 2025 report says there are no transient slips inside the marina, the entrance is narrow (about 15 m) and very shallow, and boats anchor NW of the entrance in sand, well protected, but debris (old pilings, anchors) can foul chain, so buoy your anchor. Virgintino (2015): visitors' dock fits 2-3 boats; basin carries no more than 7 ft; bar, restaurant, pool, Wi-Fi; small railway and hoist; Mega Mart nearby. The club helps arrange Customs and Immigration. Kingston harbour winds blow 20-30 knots most late mornings to late afternoons, raising a steep chop - arrive early.
