Isla Perro (Dog Island) Landing & Anchoring Fees

9° 33.5′ N · 78° 52.6′ W · approximate

The Guna families who keep the two Dog Islands charge for landing, beach use and facilities, and occasionally for anchoring; carry small bills before you go ashore for the wreck.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: Isla Perro Chico (Achudub Bippi) as mapped in OpenStreetMap. Noonsite's 2018 fee list: Dog Island $2–5 per person depending on the day and the number of tourists; one vessel was charged $24 to anchor (July 2018); Perro Grande (East Lemmons) $2 per person plus $5 per dog. Wikivoyage's older price list for Perro Chico: beach $3, hammocks $7, seats $5, snorkel gear rental $5 per day, camping $8 per person, showers and toilets free; Perro Grande had free picnic tables, seats and a shower block (2016 prices). All older than 2024: verify locally. The Guna Congreso cruising receipt does not cover island landing fees. Ask for a receipt showing the island, your boat and the date.
