Vertical Blue freediving competition
23° 6.4′ N · 75° 0.5′ W
The world-class freediving competition held at Dean's Blue Hole, founded by record holder William Trubridge, where athletes push national and world depth records.
Practical
Wikipedia: Trubridge set a no-fins world record of 92 m here in April 2010; Vertical Blue 2025 was held in July with about 20 athletes. Dates vary by year; check verticalblue.net, which also runs beginner and intermediate courses (2026 sessions listed for February to May). Spectating from the cliffs or the water is free; give the competition lines a wide berth when snorkelling.
