Bahamas Customs lists Clarence Town Public Dock as a port of entry. ActiveCaptain (2022-2024): the dock was rebuilt; the dinghy dock on the north side has room for about two dinghies (watch for nails at the waterline); the mail boat uses the south side. Water may need turning on (ask at the Agriculture building, which also has restrooms). Free trash dumpster at the foot of the pier; boat ramp beside it. The government packing house sells local produce and fish (best Monday and Tuesday afternoons, older report). Unique Wheels rents cars and will pick up; taxis available. CLEARING IN/OUT: Officers are not resident: they come from Stella Maris, so call ahead (ActiveCaptain lists 242-338-2012 for arrangements; noforeignland says you can schedule by WhatsApp, waits were short and fees are mostly paid online via Click2Clear). A $100 extra travel charge was common in the past but not recently (ActiveCaptain, 2026). Flying Fish Marina keeps the two-part immigration forms; walk over from the government dock. You may be asked to bring the boat alongside the government dock or the marina for inspection if you declare weapons. One 2018 crew cleared out for the Turks and Caicos by leaving immigration cards with the marina staff.
