Clarence Town harbour sharks and turtles
23° 6.1′ N · 74° 57.6′ W
From the hurricane-proof concrete benches on Flying Fish Marina's jetty you can watch big bull sharks, reef sharks and loggerhead turtles cruise along the breakwater into the harbour.
Practical
Position is the OpenStreetMap pier at the marina. A 2025 visitor saw several large bull sharks and a huge loggerhead from the jetty; marina staff confirmed bull sharks. They are drawn by fish cleaning at the marina; Wikivoyage warns not to swim near marinas or where fish are cleaned. Watch from the jetty; keep dogs and children out of the water.
