Meeks Patch West Anchorage (Pig Beach)
25° 31.2′ N · 76° 47.0′ W
A rocky north-south finger of land 1.75 nm from Spanish Wells' western entrance whose west side gives excellent shelter in strong easterlies — and whose beach is home to a colony of swimming pigs.
Practical
7-9 ft, excellent holding in deep sand; tide 2-2.5 ft. Best in E to SE winds (one 2025 reviewer held fine in 30-plus kn E-SE); anything south gets rolly. The west beach hosts a swimming-pig concession (a 2025 reviewer paid $10 per visit, verify) and tour boats from Spanish Wells run fast past the anchorage all day. Good LTE from Aliv and BTC. Spanish Wells is about 2 miles by dinghy for trash, gas and groceries.
Best for
Riding out strong easterlies near Spanish Wells
Season
E-SE winds; untenable in strong S-W
