A quiet anchorage off the west end of Russell Island, away from the busy harbour entrance, with a sand beach and the Sandbar beach bar ashore.
Practical
Sand, excellent holding (Waterway Guide); protection for northerly-component winds. Land the dinghy on the beach at the Sandbar. Town is a 2-plus mile walk east. Much less boat traffic than the harbour-mouth anchorage.

A quiet night and a beach-bar sundowner in northerly winds
