Indian Hole Point Anchorage (Thompson Bay NW)

23° 21.6′ N · 75° 8.9′ W · approximate

The north-west corner of Thompson Bay under Indian Hole Point, with a little extra shelter from west and north winds and Tiny's Hurricane Hole beach bar ashore.

Practical

Position is approximate, placed about 250 m south of Tiny's Hurricane Hole in the north-west of the bay; sound your way in. Holding here is not documented in the sources used; dive or back down hard on the anchor, as the bay's bottom is silty (ActiveCaptain). Dinghy to Tiny's through its narrow dredged channel (2-3 ft at high tide) just west of the easternmost rock jetty; at low tide raise the outboard or walk in through deep mud. Tiny's dinghy dock is for customers only.
